Thanksgiving and trains

I stopped in to see my family on the way back from working at the archives in Roanoke this week. We had a little snow and I spent most of the night chasing freight trains in my old stomping grounds. Watching the glowing headlights of an approaching train light up a snowy right of way in the middle of the night is pure magic.

Stopped by my old high school for a basketball game. We didn't lose!!!

Spent thanksgiving with my family at the beach. I love my little sister Laura.

And my Yellow Lab Amy.
And my cousins.
