Memorial Day

Here are some photos from the 22nd Annual Rolling Thunder in Washington, DC last Sunday. I took the train up from Lynchburg last minute and had a good time shooting all the motorcycles and veterans who turned out to support the POW/MIA cause. While visiting Section 60 in Arlington Cemetery, I saw Reuters photojournalist Larry Downing. I wasn't sure it was him at first, but later saw his photos up on the wire. I wish I had said hi, but there were images to be made!

Homecoming

Last Saturday I made a trip out to Fort Campbell, Ky. with fellow photojournalist and good friend Daniel Houghton. We shot the homecoming of a few hundred soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division Special Troops Battalion after their 15 month deployment to Afghanistan. Thanks for looking.

The end is near..

For my final project in new media class I've been working on a story about Louisville's homeless encampments along the Ohio River. The living conditions people endure out there are pretty humbling to say the least.
